99% high purity tabular alumina (also known as alpha alumina) is a high-purity sintered corundum. It does not add any additives such as magnesium oxide (MgO) or boron trioxide (B ₂ O3) during the process of complete sintering densification. This material has a sheet-like crystal structure, with small pore size and a high proportion of closed pores; Its porosity is roughly equivalent to that of fused alumina, but it also has the characteristics of high purity, excellent volume stability, and extremely low re firing shrinkage rate. In addition, plate-shaped alumina also has good thermal shock stability and bending strength.

Steel and metallurgical industry
High purity tabular alumina can used for ladle lining, refining furnaces, aluminum magnesium carbon bricks, and sliding door panels. Bulk density ≥ 3.50 g/cm ³, apparent porosity ≤ 5.0%, water absorption ≤ 1.50%. High density and low water absorption reduce the amount of binder used in refractory material production, improve the strength of the finished product, and extend its service life.
6. Strengthening academic inertia
It is inert to most acids, bases, molten metals, and slag and does not react with industrial media. It is widely used in harsh working conditions such as steelmaking, cement calcination, and petrochemical cracking furnaces.
