This Alumina Ceramic Grinding Media is suitable for wet and dry ultra-fine grinding of alumina, zirconia silicate, feldspar, quartz, kaolin, glaze, ink, ceramics and so on in stirring and ball mill. It comes in different forms such as alumina oxide balls, ceramic cylinders, or soda lime glass. The grinding media is made of selected first-class raw materials with static pressure forming technology by high temperature firing. Alumina Ceramic Grinding Media can greatly improve grinding efficiency, reduce grinding time, and effectively increase the volume of the ball mill, thus increasing the amount of grinding materials.

Test method of alumina ball

This method means that alumina ball is impacted in specified condition in polyurethane jar to test shock resistance, wear loss in unit time.

Grinding jar

The grinding jar in made of polyurethane with inner diameter of 200mm, length of 220mm

Test preparation

Put 4kgs alumina ball with qualified appearance in to the jar with 4L water, then set on the anti-wearing machine at 80rpm for 2 hours, then take out, clean and dried for preparation.

Testing step

· Weight the sample after treatment with balance (M1)

· Put the sample and water with same weight into jar, and set on the anti-wearing machine at 80rpm for 24 hours.

· Take out the samples, clean, dry and get the new weight(M2)

· Wear loss= (M1-M2)x1000/M1
