Is sintered tabular corundum, alumina powder as raw material, after fine grinding, molding, drying, in the high temperature shaft kiln (1800-1900 ºC), quick heat burning under the condition of fast cooling technology, it has high refractoriness, good thermal shock resistance and creep resistance and peeling resistance to Al2O3 production as the main raw material through high temperature firing of tabular corundum, has high purity, crystal size, small intracrystalline pores and wide distribution, high volume density, low porosity, etc.It shows excellent thermal shock stability, high strength and good fluidity in application, so it is widely used in high temperature industries such as refractory materials.As a new material, it has been applied to battery anode materials, new ceramics, solar energy industry, seals, automobile and other industries.As is known to all, plate corundum ceramics is used for making abrasives. Due to the super hard power of emery ceramics, it can be prepared into various grinding wheels, emery cloth, sandpaper and various abrasives, which are widely used in the mechanical processing industry.The plate corundum material also has low self-lubricity and friction coefficient, which is about half of the cemented carbide material. Its thermal shock resistance and high elastic modulus are applied in some special places. For example, the laser reflector used to make high power is better than copper in performance due to its low density, good rigidity and small deformation.
Compared with fused alumina, tabular alumina has the following advantages:
1. Sintered plate corundum has low impurity content and uniform distribution, while electrofused corundum has high impurity content and uneven distribution.
2. The thermal shock resistance and spalling resistance of sintered plate corundum are better than that of fused alumina.
3. The production process of sintered plate corundum is far more energy saving and environmental protection than that of fused alumina.
