5-8/10mm white fused tabular corundum is a pure sintered corundum without any additives such as MgO, B2O3, etc. It is made by melting high-purity alumina at high temperature and then crystallizing into a dense plate-like microstructure. This process eliminates internal voids and forms a compact lattice, significantly improving mechanical strength and heat resistance.
Its extremely low apparent porosity and high bulk density make refractory materials made from it more effective in resisting slag infiltration and chemical erosion than traditional alumina aggregates. Therefore, even under harsh operating conditions, the furnace lining can maintain stability.
