Tabular Alumina Almatis

Tabular alumina almati is a pure alumina formed by high-temperature sintering. The sintering process does not add any additives such as MgO, B2O3, etc., ensuring the thoroughness of its sintering. This material has coarse crystals and a well-developed α - Al2O3 crystal structure.

Technical Parameters

Product Introduction

Tabular alumina almatis is a sintered material with a purity of over 99%, consisting of coarse crystals and a closed pore structure. It is fully densified through rapid sintering at temperatures above 1900 ° C and does not contain any sintering additives.

Layered alumina has the characteristics of large and developed hexagonal layered alpha alumina crystals. Its excellent thermal volume stability and thermal shock performance are attributed to its unique microstructure: low porosity and large crystals, forming closed spherical pores during the recrystallization process during rapid sintering.

01

High temperature resistance

It can maintain structural stability at high temperatures and is suitable for high-temperature kilns such as ironmaking blast furnaces and steelmaking converters. The crystal structure is not prone to phase transformation or softening. ‌

02

Thermal shock stability

The crystals are coarse and contain closed pores, which can effectively buffer thermal stress and reduce peeling and damage caused by sudden temperature changes. ‌

03

High mechanic strength

The crystal structure endows it with bending strength and creep resistance, and can withstand dynamic loads such as furnace charge impact and melt flow. ‌

04

Good volume stability

At high temperatures, the shrinkage rate during re firing is extremely low, ensuring the dimensional stability of the furnace lining and avoiding cracking and damage.

Tabular Alumina-The Future Of High-performance Material

The use of Tabular alumina almatis:

1. The properties of tabular alumina almatis have many applications in the field of refractory materials. The main application areas of plate-like corundum are suitable for ceramic, chemical, and water-based substrates.
2. Tabular alumina almatis can be used alone or in combination with calcined and/or activated alumina. Because plate-like corundum exhibits extremely high purity even in fine powder, it can be used to improve the performance of lower alumina aggregates.
3. The increase in consumption of plate-like corundum mainly comes from continuous casting of steel. Especially for skateboards, immersion pipes, and nozzles, the use of plate-shaped corundum is an industrial standard requirement.

Application

Tabular alumina can be used as main component in alumina carbon fire brick, magnesia alumina carbon fire brick, magnesia spinel and alumina chrome refractory bricks, it also can be introduced into high alumina amorphous refractory materials such as rich alumina component. It can be widely used in iron and steel, casting, ceramics and other industries, even in iron and steel industry ,tabular alumina almost covers the whole process of ironmaking and steelmaking.
