Alumina ceramic balls
Alumina ceramic balls are a type of ceramic material primarily composed of alumina (Al₂O₃), boasting excellent thermal stability, high mechanical strength, and chemical resistance. As a result, they are widely used across various industries.
Performance characteristics
High Hardness
The Rockwell hardness of alumina ceramic balls is HRA80-90, second only to diamond, with excellent wear resistance.
01
Wear Resistance
Its wear resistance is equivalent to 266 times that of manganese steel and 171.5 times that of high chromium cast iron, suitable for erosion by high-speed fluids and hard particle media.
02
High Temperature Resistance
It can maintain stable mechanical properties in high temperature environments above 1000 ℃.
03
Chemical Stability
It has good chemical stability and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for various chemical environments.
04
Lightweight
With a density of approximately 3.6g/cm ³, only half that of steel, it helps to reduce equipment load.
05

Preparation process
Alumina ceramic balls are usually made from α-Al₂O₃ powder as the base material, rolled or pressed into shape, and then sintered at a high temperature of 1600℃. This process ensures the wear resistance and high temperature resistance of ceramic balls.
