The wear of the lining of the mill not only depends on the characteristics of the wear resistant ceramic liner itself, but also is proportional to the pressure of the ball milling medium on the wear resistant ceramic liner and the relative movement rate between the two. With the increase of the size of the ball mill, the inner diameter of the grinding cylinder increases, the pressure of the ball stone on the wear resistant ceramic liner and the linear velocity of the ball and the wear resistant ceramic liner increase, resulting in increased wear of the wear resistant ceramic liner. Therefore, a thicker wear resistant ceramic liner should be used for larger ball mills. Generally, if the diameter of the ball mill exceeds 1.8m, it is recommended to use a 60mm thick wear resistant ceramic liner.
