Standard For Inspection Of Alumina Ceramic Balls

Alumina ceramic ball products have a wide range of applications in chemical enterprises, especially for large enterprises, the purchase of alumina ball is not only a small investment, and the quality of porcelain ball for catalyst protection, production efficiency will have a certain relationship.  Therefore, the quality of alumina ball must meet the requirements of the user unit, now the common quality standards of industrial porcelain ball are described as follows.

 Diameter: alumina ball according to its diameter is divided into 12 specifications, namely 3, 6, 8, 10, 13, 20, 25, 30, 38, 50, 60mm, etc..  According to the national standard requirements, the acceptance tolerance of 3-10mm industrial porcelain ball diameter is plus or minus 1mm, and the acceptance tolerance of 13-25mm porcelain ball should be within 1.5mm.  The general tolerance of porcelain balls with diameters of 30 and above must be controlled within 2mm.  For manufacturers with strict diameter requirements, the precise diameter of porcelain ball can be achieved by controlling the sieve hole during screening.  The appearance quality of alumina ball can be tested by conventional measuring tools and visual inspection.

 Crushing strength: select a testing machine with enough pressure and force measurement accuracy up to a level, take five porcelain balls as samples.  The samples were placed in the center of the pressure plate of the testing machine respectively, and the upper and lower pressure plates were pad with 1 ~ 2mm oil-absorbing paper, and loaded smoothly and evenly at the speed of 5 ~ 20mm/min or 0.5 ~ 3.5kN /min. The pressure values of the samples at the time of failure were read, and the arithmetic mean value was calculated as the final test results.

 Alumina content: alumina ball according to the content of feldspar, feldspar-mullite, mullite, mullite - just jade, just jade and other different materials.  More customers' different design requirements to proportion, general high aluminum with industrial alumina, low aluminum in general chemical China clay as raw material.  The content of alumina porcelain ball is determined by GB/T4734-1996, chemical analysis method of ceramic materials and products.

 Sampling principle: alumina ball products before leaving the factory must make factory inspection, industrial porcelain ball by batch acceptance.  50 tons of products with the same raw materials, process and equipment are used as a batch, and less than 50 tons are also counted as a batch.  Each batch of products shall be sampled in a representative, random manner.  According to the different specifications of the product.  Take different quantities of samples according to table 5.  The samples were mixed evenly, and a quarter of the samples were extracted for appearance quality and size inspection, and then the corresponding quantity was selected for physical and chemical properties test.

 Packaging and transportation: alumina ceramic ball packaging must be firm, to ensure that there is no damage in the process of transportation.  Alumina ball in transportation, loading and unloading to smooth, light, strictly prohibited throwing.  Finally the alumina balls must be stored in a clean warehouse or a covered shed.
